Squamish Valley Golf Club offers players the option of 6 different sets of tees which range from 6,521 to 4897 yards.
While the yardages might seem on the shorter side, the fact that the golf club is at sea level and that Squamish is known for its oft windy conditions (the name ‘Squamish’ in First Nations means ‘Mother of the Wind’) means that the course will more than likely feel longer than its stated yardages.
At Squamish Valley Golf Club we play with the Red/White/Blue Pin Flag hole location system. The course also has distances to the front, middle and back of greens marked on sprinkler heads inside of 250 yards of the green.
To further assist players, all fairways have embedded yardage markers on them that signify the distance to the middle of the green. The markers are as follows;
